3 miles - 30.43 min.
I felt strong today. I don't really know why my time was so high. I though for sure it would be better that that. Remember! I want to run 8 min. miles on my regular runs! I don't know how to do that yet. I'm still running mostly uphill and that is killing me. I am going to try this:
Monday: Long hard run
Tuesday: Long easy run
Wednesday: Speed training
Thursday: Hills
Friday: Long hard run
Saturday: Long, long run
Depending on time, weather, and how I feel I'm going to try it. I really want to bring my time down. Especially before the 5K on August 18th. I wish my HS running partner was here to run with. She would keep me running faster and keep me company.
I risked my life today and ran down Harvest Moon "Bird Attack Street" today. There were several other runners there so I felt a little safer. But I still was a little freaked out. I never realized how many birds live in our neighborhood.
Today I saw a lot of runners/walkers. It is comforting to see other people out there. 1 penny. (39)
My Story
My story is in the Archives. It will help explain my motivation in creating this blog/journal.
Goals: Run, Run, Run!! (I think about it every day. Every day!) - 10K (at least 3 this year) - 1/2 marathon (outside of practice) - St. George Marathon (Ran a 4:24 it in 2004. Want to do it under 4 hours this time) - Boston Marathon (My life long running dream besides the Olympics.)
