2 miles - 20.29 min.
I was just wondering about the time of day. I usually run at 6:00 in the morning. Today I ran at 8:00. Could that make a difference in the speed and feel of the run?
I was TIRED!I was supposed to do the Riverton Days 10K today. After just running 2 miles I know I couldn't have made it 6. As much as I hate to admit it, I think I have pushed myself too hard. I'm not sure what to do about that really. Keep running what I have been running and not move it up or slow down a little. We'll see what happens.
Slow and steady wins the race is the saying. However, I think that the hare just had a big head. He could have won by a long way, but instead figured he was ahead so he could rest. Personally, I want to the be hare without the ego. I like going fast and far. I just wish my body could keep up.
Today I saw more thunder clouds, the hot sun and only 1 runner. She sounded like she was crying or having an asthma attack. Either way I hope she is OK.
My Story
My story is in the Archives. It will help explain my motivation in creating this blog/journal.
Goals: Run, Run, Run!! (I think about it every day. Every day!) - 10K (at least 3 this year) - 1/2 marathon (outside of practice) - St. George Marathon (Ran a 4:24 it in 2004. Want to do it under 4 hours this time) - Boston Marathon (My life long running dream besides the Olympics.)
